Which is the best car battery for Canberra winters?+
For most vehicles a good calcium-calcium or AGM battery from Century, Varta or Bosch handles Canberra frosts well. Stop-start cars specifically need EFB or AGM — I match the right chemistry to your car.
Are you a Redarc-approved installer in Canberra?+
Yes — I install the full Redarc BCDC, Manager 30 and RedVision range regularly. All work is done to Redarc's wiring standard so the manufacturer warranty stays valid.
How much does a full dual-battery and solar setup cost?+
A typical Redarc BCDC + 100Ah AGM or lithium + 200W solar kit is around $1,800–$3,200 supplied and fitted, depending on battery chemistry and cable runs. Firm quote after seeing the vehicle.
Can I supply my own parts and just pay for fitting?+
Yes, in most cases. I charge a labour-only rate for customer-supplied parts — just be aware I can only warranty the workmanship, not the product.
